Hand Painted Porcelain: Japanese Doll

I couldn’t wait until it was finished and ready to be shown! My Japanese Doll hand-painted porcelain sugar bowl I made recently. It is baked to be dishwasherproof and food safe. This little cutie is for sale in my new Etsy Shop. It took some time to make, but I’m really pleased with the result :)

Since I found this cute white sugar bowl I’ve had the idea of turning it into some cute cheeky character and the sweet Japanese girl with her black hair, sparkly eyes and a flower-decorated kimono seamed to be perfect for this. She is smiling and holding a little white tea pot in her hands. Perfect to sweeten-up any tea ceremony!

You can keep sweet sugar it it…

…or a warm candle…

… just let it brighten-up your table…

… or your evening…

… or you can just hold it in your hands :)

I painted this sugar bowl with glossy Decorfin porcelain paint with which I painted my Flower series of porcelain sugar bowls and teapots . Hight – 9 cm (3.5 inch), diameter – 10 cm (4 inch).  Can’t wait to paint some more of these! :)
