Vector: Peacock At The Sunset

 I’m finally able to get back to my experiments in vector technique after a couple of pretty busy weeks of art lessons and freelance projects (I will tell about them a bit later.) Here is my latest vector illustration I created in Adobe Illustrator SC4 with the help of my Cintiq 12wx. Drawing and painting on it is really a wonderful experience!



I’ve been wanting to try the hand drawn style in Adobe Illustrator for a long time now and this is my first result – “Peacock At The Sunset” vector painting.  I’m pretty happy with it. Took a long time to finish, but I planned it to be detailed as I also wanted to dedicate it to my dear Mom’s Birthday :) She plans to get it printed and hang it as a painting. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

As a reference for this beautiful peacock I used a photo that Alex and I made on one of our trips last spring. Handsome one, isn’t he? :)

 

I liked the landscape on this illustration so much that I decided to make a separate drawing using the same setting, but adding a bit more of water to the foreground:

I would really want to be in a peaceful place like this write now… Just a little bit more time till the spring… :)
