Goal Achieved: 500 Seamless Patterns

In August 2010 I started my seamless pattern project and decided on a goal to make 500 patterns  for my iStockphoto portfolio by the end of 2011, but funny thing is that I reached my goal in exactly one year :) Yay! Now is August 2011 and I can honestly say that pattern project is the most rewarding and exciting project I have ever had. Can’t wait to see what second year of patterns brings…

500 Seamless Patterns by Oksancia

My new goal in 1500 patterns by the end of next year! ;)

I also decided to start using my pattern collection on other websites.

Now I have a couple of patterns on Spoonflower – custom fabric printing website, where you can select and print designer fabrics on demand. I have only a couple of designs on Spoonflower, but much more are coming very soon.

Spoonflower has design contests pretty often so I decided to take part in the current challenge - Plushie Doll Design.

Here is my Haruka Doll Do-it-yourself fabric kit.

You might remember this character from my 1 year old illustration from my Japanese Garden illustration series.

Guess what! Her kimono is decorated with the very first pattern I made a year ago ;)

You will be able to vote on and purchase this doll DIY kit soon.

Let me know what you think! :)
