My Illustrations In iStockphoto Vetta Collection. Let’s See How It Goes.
A couple of my vector illustrations were added to Vetta Collection on iStockphoto just yesterday. I wonder if it will bring more views and positive exposure to those images selected and my portfolio in general. My microstock illustrations that belonged to previous version of Vetta were selling moderately good. Interesting to see how it turns out this time.
On the one hand, the prices for those illustrations went considerably up: most of them from 15 to 50 credits. On the other hand, Vetta is being positioned as a collection of “hand-selected exclusive images and illustrations” composed of only 1% of all iStockphoto images, which should bring good exposure. I am not sure how many Vetta sales it can bring, though. Let’s hope for many :)
At the moment 13 of my vectors are in Vetta:
4 illustrations for 60 credits
Example: Peacock
5 Illustrations for 50 credits
Example: Flower Power
4 Illustrations for 40 credits
Example: The Apple Of My Eye
Most of my illustrations that were accepted to Vetta Collection are 6 month old and older. As you might have noticed, I switched to microstock vector seamless patterns and textures a couple of month ago as they sell much better on iStockphoto for me. I wonder if Vetta collection will make uploading vector illustrations like the ones above worthwhile again.
