Handmade: Little Fish Pin

I’ve always been curious about polymer clay and its possibilities so I decided to try it out for myself :) I had an idea for a cute colorful fish character and wanted to create a little sculpture. Here is the result of my little expreriment – Fish Pin!

Fish Pin

polymer clay (oven hardened) + paint for porcelain. Size: 5.5 x 4.5 cm

I used Fimo Soft Oven-hardening modelling clay in “White” to sculpt the form of the fish. Then I baked it in the oven for 30 minutes and, after it had chilled, I painted it with my Decorfin Porcelain Paint.

Turned out to be a fun project an now I have a brand new pin… All ready for a colorful summer this year! ;)

Great! I want to try plastic, but it’s already colored. And first I should cut my nails ;)))

Thanks! I :) You could use the simple plasticine tools for children like these. I bought mine at Hema some time ago. You don’t have to cut you nails ;)

Thank you, Macy! Have you made anything with this clay before?

Yes I’ve used Fimo to make small Christmas figurines and ornaments. Very fun to do! :D
